The Hungarian Vizsla Club fully endorses and supports the Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity

The Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity is a registered UK based charity (no. 1147353) and a ‘Kennel Club Approved’ rescue and rehoming organisation. Originally known as HVC Welfare, and operating under the auspices of the Club, they became a standalone charity in 2012. They were the first independent UK charity solely devoted to the rehoming, health and welfare of the Hungarian Vizsla. Their Trustees, Welfare Officers, admin assistants and rehoming helpers are all volunteers, and working together they cover the whole of the UK mainland, and occasionally Northern Ireland too.

The Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Vizslas whose owners cannot keep them, for whatever reason, and to promote responsible ownership of the breed. They also work to prevent rehoming becoming necessary by providing free training advice and behavioural support to struggling owners.

If there is anything they can do to help YOU, please just get in touch with them…

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Please explore the Welfare website to see how you can be involved in their valuable work. Forever homes are always needed for Vizslas whose owners are no longer able to look after them, and experienced foster homes are always required, so that incoming dogs can be safely looked after until their perfect new owner can be found.

Vizsla Welfare also rely heavily on a nationwide network of volunteers. Would you like to join them and help Vizslas in need?

FUNDRAISING

Although Vizsla Welfare is run entirely by volunteers, their work costs money, and contributions are always needed. You can donate online, and you can also fundraise for them, via Just Giving.

Please have a look at the DONATE and FUNDRAISING pages on their website.

Vizsla Welfare also holds their own regular fundraising events, and these are publicised on their website as they happen.
